Q: What is the Age restriction
for shows at Common Grounds?

A: By LAW all shows at Common Grounds are 18 and older only unless accompanied by Parent or Guardian. Anyone under the age of 18 can come to ANY show at Common Grounds if they are accompanied by a Parent or Guardian.

Q: What are you hours of operation? When do doors open for show? When does the show start? What time does the show end?

A: By LAW Common Grounds must close at 2am Monday through Saturday and at 11pm on Sundays.

For most shows Monday through Saturday doors open at 9pm. On Sundays, Doors open at 6pm. Door times are posted with each show listing in the INCOMING! section.

We prefer for shows to start one hour after doors open and end one hour prior to close. Show times and set times vary from show to show. Feel free to call on the day of a show for further information.

  • Wednesday: 12pm-3pm & 9pm-2am
  • Thursday: 6pm-2am

Q: Where can I buy advance
tickets for shows?

A: You currently have two options for purchasing
advance tickets for our shows.

  • Hard Tickets can be purchased in person with CASH ONLY at Common Grounds for no service fee.
  • Online tickets can be purchased with a credit card via Ticketweb.com. Please note that a service fee will be added to tickets purchased through Ticketweb. You have the option of Will Call or Delivery (if you purchase tickets early enough.) If you have purchased Will Call tickets please bring your email confirmation, a VALID picture ID and the credit card used for the purchase with you to the door to claim your tickets.

Shows presented by outside promoters sometimes have tickets available at other outlets around town and vary depending on the show. Check each individual show listing for ticket outlets.

Q: Where do I park?

A: To be honest with you, parking in downtown Gainesville really sucks and our parking lot tends to fill up fast. We actually highly recommend riding a bike. There are public pay lots and garages all around us and minimal free street parking. Just pay attention to the tow away zone signs. YOU WILL GET TOWED.
